Where to Start

If you are a first time investor, owner occupier or repeat purchaser, we can oversee the whole process, right from the initial sourcing of the land to the finished "turn key" package. We take the pain out of your gain, leaving you more time to enjoy your profit.

These are the steps in the process to owning your own residential property:-

Step 1 - Register your interest.

  • You can complete our online contact us page and register your full  details, property title/ID and comments regarding your requirements, or
  • Call Geoff Johnson on 0412785431 to check on availability and more details.

Step 2 - Arrange Finance.

  • You will need to approach a bank or mortgage broker, either independently to find out what you can comfortably afford in order to purchase an investment property, or
  • You can seek no-obligation finance advice from our panel of recommended finance brokers and lenders.
  • Please note that as an NRAS property is a specialized investment it may, in certain cases, need to comply with a specific lender’s requirements.

Step 3 - Locate a property

  • This can be solely your own preferred choice from our pool of available properties, or
  • We will help guide you to a satisfactory selection, based upon our assessment of a range of investment property options best suited to your particular needs and finance requirements.

Step 4 - Finalise the sale

  • You can now place a final sale contract on the property you have identified in order to secure it as your own.
  • You will at this time have organized your appropriate financing requirements-“subject to finance approval”, either through consultation with your own lender or a lender from our panel, as the case may be.
  • An estimated settlement date will then be set and the final sale realized, or
  • In the case of “off the plan” property, you will be notified of an estimated commencement of construction date and an estimated completion/settlement date.

Step 5 - What happens between contract signing and property settlement?

  • Tandem 54 Properties maintain regular contact between the client, builder, developer, legal and financial institutions throughout the whole process ensuring a smooth transition to completion.

Step 6 - Who handles the renting of my property?

  • For an NRAS property, the rental management will be entirely undertaken by a property management agency who has been approved, and complies fully to the requirements of the National Rental Affordability Scheme.
  • In the case of a standard investment property, we assist in organizing the appointment of licenced real estate rental managers to take care of your rental property/ies on your behalf.
